GUIDELINES & INFORMATION


Important Details for Roots activities:
+Roots will meet outside until further notice.
+All youth, volunteers, parents, and any other person present must maintain the 6 foot apart minimum distance requirement.
+All youth, volunteers, and any other person present are highly encouraged to bring their own hand sanitizer. Roots will have a limited amount available.
+Masks will be highly encouraged but not mandatory.
+Youth and volunteers are asked to bring their own outdoor chair for all Roots Youth Ministry events (including youth group), if they have one. 
+Youth will be HIGHLY ENCOURAGED to attend 7pm Saturday night Contemporary Worship Service with their family/youth group friends. My goal is for youth & their families to join me at Rita’s/Dairy Queen/Chick-fil-A or other outdoor locations after Saturday night services for fellowship.
+Roots WILL NOT be providing food during this time. Youth and volunteers are welcome to bring their own snack. But, there will be no sharing. (If you bring it, you eat it or take it home with you.)

Furthermore,
All General Rules for Kent Island UMC will also be applied to all Roots Youth Ministry activities and events:
• Under no circumstances should anyone come to the Church property for any activity if they are:
     1. Feeling sick with symptoms that are consistent with COVID -19.
     2. Been around someone who is symptomatic for the virus.
     3. Displays any symptoms that are consistent with COVID – 19.
     4. Exposed to COVID – 19 and has not finished their quarantine.
     5. Was positive for COVID – 19 and has not been released by their physician.
     6. If someone has entered the building/activity area and begins to feel sick, the person in charge (of the activity taking place) should be notified and the person feeling sick must quietly exit the building/activity area. The person in charge will contact the clergy for further action.
• High risk individuals should continue to shelter in place until they feel it is safe to return.
